ABODA Victoria is pleased to announce its upcoming Percussion from the Podium professional development event, an opportunity to discuss percussion questions from the stance of a conductor. Mr Trent Hutchinson of Trinity College, Kew, will join us to provide basic and foundation information, as well as to address the questions and concerns conductors have regarding percussion performance:
- achieving particular, characteristic sounds on various instruments
- typical and standardised percussion score markings and their meanings
- strategies for integrating percussion students into full ensemble orchestral and wind rehearsals
