ANBOC 2012 Registrations Open!
ABODA Queensland (abodaq.org.au) is hosting the 2012 Australian National Band and Orchestra Conference (ANBOC2012). Registrations are now open! The event includes domestic and international guests, a fine variety of materials for conductors in a variety of settings (educational, community, band and orchestral, etc), and performances by ensembles from around the country.
2012 Summer Conducting School - seats, brass!
As of this Thursday, the 2012 ABODA Victoria Conducting Summer School had all conducting seats filled, and only one observer seat remained. Convener Andrew Mathers is ecstatic to have almost every opening filled. Now, we must fill the gap for ... brass players!

Jeremy Woolstenhulme is a member of the Las Vegas Philharmonic and Orchestra Director at Hyde Park Middle School in Las Vegas, Nevada (USA). As an educator, his ensembles have performed at the MidWest Band Clinic in Chicago, and also travelled for performances in Washington DC, New York City, and around the United States.
2012 Summer Conducting School - Registrations Open
In 2012, ABODA Victoria's annual Summer Conducting School will be held from 8-14 January at St Catherine's School in Toorak, Victoria. Registrations are open, and Early Bird registrants receive a discount through 18 November.

ABODA members are strongly encouraged to attend the 2011 MSO Education Week events. Notably, the MSO recently supported Benjamin Northey's appearance at an
engaging Conducting Seminar and Masterclass on Wednesday 8 June. ABODA Life Member and MSO Education Advisory Committee Member Roland Yeung has recently drawn attention to Education Week by distributing the week's program and offerings for educators.
